Our policies, part
We support the Is it fair? Campaign The aims of the campaign are twofold:
The fair distribution of Government Grants to all Local Authorities Replace the present Council Tax system with one that is based on ability to pay (from disposable income) http://www.isitfair.co.uk
We would discriminate in favour of small firms and retain the character of our high streets.
We see the following as essential public services, which should be run efficiently in the public interest. Gas, Electricity, Water,The Railways, The Post Office. We are opposed to any privitisation of Royal Mail.
We are opposed to any further expansion of the European Union and the loss of jobs it is causing.
We are against the Death Penalty, Torture and any forms of inhuman treatment.
We are in favour of Fair Trade, Fair Wages, Free Range and opposed to Factory Farming. We are opposed to experimentation on live animals and the export of live animals for slaughter.
Many of these policies are decribed in greater detail in discussion documents
